Not long ago my roommate and I discovered that the company we work for is controlled by an omniscient robot/computer called N.A.N.D.O.R.. Naturally ,we were concerned. Co-workers insisted that life is better now that N.A.N.D.O.R. is in control. But their blind love and devotion hides a more insidious truth.
Before N.A.N.D.O.R. there was vicious clan warfare between
the different buildings in the complex, and neighboring companies would
raid the weaker and carry off their temps. The temps would be forced to
work in the graphite mines or carry grubs and larvae from the
conquering queen's chamber in the vast underground labyrinths.
Separating
each campus is a "Forbidden Zone" patrolled by flocks of mechanical
"sentry geese". They have been set to detonate if approached in a
threatening manner. Their unpredictable nature makes them doubly
dangerous to those brave or foolhardy enough to chance passage across
the forbidden knolls.
It is true that all has been peaceful thanks to the great computer, but recently N.A.N.D.O.R.
has been demanding outrageous offerings in exchange for his benevolency.
This has led many to believe that something, perhaps time or an
unusually strong surge in electricity has damaged N.A.N.D.O.R.'s calibration.
It has thus become obvious that agents must infiltrate the workings of
the complex and somehow gain access to Central Processing Center. From
that location, and with use of a carefully forged "data card", N.A.N.D.O.R. can be reset and normalcy restored.
